Web developer:in (m/f/d) in EdTech for research projects

NEOCOSMO GmbH is a growing company with great team spirit based in Saarbrücken and Berlin. Our mission: to improve communication, collaboration and education in organizations. To achieve this, we develop award-winning Digital Workplaces with the help of our software solution PIIPE and are partners in numerous research projects. To strengthen the “AI Campus” project, we are looking for a Web Developer:in (m/f/d) in the EdTech area as soon as possible.

Your Tasks

  • Agile development of software components for our learning experience portals

  • Further development and maintenance of existing software components

  • Implementation, further development and improvement of API frameworks (e.g. to Moodle)

  • Implementation of our UX concept

  • Project-specific adaptations of the application and integration into existing IT infrastructures

  • Assumption of responsibility in research projects (especially in the project “KI-Campus”: https://ki-campus.org/) through independent work organization

  • Cross-team collaboration with our project managers

Your Profile

  • University degree in computer science, media informatics, UI/UX design or comparable.

  • Experience in developing web applications using HTML, JavaScript and CSS

  • Good to very good knowledge of modern API frameworks, e.g. experience with Moodle

  • Good to very good knowledge of PHP and SQL, basic knowledge of Drupal is desirable

  • Good knowledge of modern frontend frameworks is desirable (e.g. Vue.js, React)

  • Strong awareness of user experience and software quality

  • Knowledge of JIRA and Git

  • Agile mindset and DevOps mentality
